BTech - Biotechnology (Seats -30, Duration - 4 Years)

Bio-Tech is the integrated use of bio-chemistry, microbiology and engineering sciences in order to achieve technological application of the capabilities of microorganism, cultured cells and parts theory.

Commercial potential of bio-technology is immense since the scope of its activities, covers the entire spectrum of human life.

At MAIET in recent years a combination of well equipped labs, highly qualified faculty, innovative methods, faculty supervised and independent learning activities at individuals and group level makes learning possible in a constructive healthy environment.

The department is provided with well equipped AC labs for microbiology, Cell-biology, biochemistry, tissue culture, analytical tech, molecular genetics, developmental biology, fluid ,mechanics, heat and mass transfer,U.O.C., bio informatics and genetic engineering.Emphasis is not only given to theory but equal weightage is given to practicals as in subjects like Bio-Tech good hands in practicals is a must. In the present scenario, most of the MNC's are opening life sciences such as Reliance, Infosys etc.

To inculcate strong research development base & enhance capabilities our students are provided with opportunities to work on projects and undergo industrial training of renowned institutes like BARC, IPCA, CDRI, CCMB,ESL,KRIBHCO,AMUL DAIRY, SARAS, NBRC,CAZRI,RANBAXY, FSL, PFIZRANBAXY, FSL, PFIZER, DR. REDDY'S, BIOCON, BMRE, DRDO, GB PIHED, COCA-COLA AND many other MNC's.

We also run M.Sc. in Bio-technology with full exposure to all its relevant areas with specialized and qualified faculties in all desciplines. The syllabi includes detailed study on: Bio-process Engineering, Genetic Engineering, Plant Bio-Technology, Immunology, Environmental Bio-Technology .....and related labratory work.

As we all know that growth in Biotechnology is much more compared to other areas. It is in Boom today and it will grow at high rate in near future with its application in all important area. Transgenic plants and animals are igniting a new era in agriculture and human gene therapy promises to eradicate many diseases which are currently incapacipating and untreatble.

The Bio-Technology Department of MAIET, Jaipur offers B.E.(Bio-Technology) Affiliated with RTU, Kota and M.Sc.(Bio-Technology) Affliated with Rajasthan University has a laboratory space of 9000 Sq. feet with facilties for:
